The reasons to be grateful are many, and they’re all around us, every day. The sun rising. Our lungs filling and hearts beating. A loved one beside us, or their memory to guide us. The sun setting, its ebbing light holding the promise of tomorrow. Sitting around the dinner table, holding hands, and saying what we’re grateful for.

These are tough times in our country, and around the world. But, we cannot run. We must believe: believe in the inherent goodness of humanity, of our fellow citizens, of our collective abilities to overcome, reunite, and move forward.

True leaders lead by example, by being positive reflections of, and for, those being led. We need, more than ever, leadership that inspires us to do the best, be the best, we can.
